YSL "Love" at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Hey guys,

As all of you probably know, currently, at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts there is a YSL exhibit being shown. It is truly a phenomenol thing to see, as many of the garments we have studyed in our Fashion and Society class last semester! Although some of the garments are well over 50 years old, I found myself saying that I would wear that outfit today, which proves again the fashion cycle and YSL's ability to design not only outfits, but fashion staples and necessities. Also the overall layout of the exhibit is really well done, and I was no disappointed!

As a post previously stated, although YSL passed away this summer, his genius ideas and trademark styles will still be honoured and used in many parts of the industry. Although he is gone, as with many famous designers, his legacy will live on.

The exhibit runs until the 28th of September, and the museum is located at 1380 Sherbrooke St. I suggest that you all check it out!!! It's very inspiring!! Two tips: give yourself at least 2 hours and bring your student card! The admission is only $7.50 with your card.

Cheers,
Carlee Finlay
